This type of hair removal has a beneficial and rejuvenating effect on the skin because the laser beam removes vascular spiders and decreases pigmentation and small wrinkles in the treated area.

We use Soprano XL Ice devices by Alma Lasers. Their headpieces are equipped with a proprietary cooling system, which fully eliminates the risk of unpleasant and burning sensations during treatment.

The device emits high-frequency light impulses with the energy sufficient to suppress hair follicles. This leads to gradual destruction of hair bulbs; with time hair become much less dense or disappear altogether.

DO I NEED TRIMMING BEFORE LASER TREATMENT?

Yes. Please shave or trim the area to 3 mm length.

ARE THERE ANY CONTRAINDICATIONS OF LASER HAIR REMOVAL ON FACE?

Not specifically, but there are relative and absolute contraindications against laser hair removal in general:
— pregnancy and lactation;
— long exposure to natural sunlight or solarium 3–5 days before or after the treatment;
— acute infections;
— hormonal disorders;
— chronic diseases (epilepsy, type I diabetes mellitus, severe cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, blood diseases);
— cancer; implantable medical devices (cardiac pacemaker, ICD etc.);
— active infections, skin diseases on the treated area, photodermatoses;
— history of keloid scars;
— administration of isotretinoin (roaccutane) and six months after;
— administration of photosensitizers and anticoagulants;

DO I NEED TO USE A SUNSCREEN DURING A COURSE OF LASER HAIR REMOVAL?

Yes, you do. Look for products with SPF 50 or higher.

CAN I DO LASER HAIR REMOVAL ON FACE IF I HAVE BIRTHMARKS?

Yes. Our experts will cover all birthmarks on your body to avoid complications.

HOW TO PREPARE THE SKIN TO LASER HAIR REMOVAL?

Shave or trim the treated area 12 hours before the visit. Do not apply cosmetic products including deodorants. Do not go to sauna or warm the skin in a bathtub one day before the treatment.

CAN I DO LASER HAIR REMOVAL DURING PREGNANCY?

Currently, there is no sufficient medical data on the influence of lasers on the fetus and breast milk. Therefore, pregnancy and lactation are considered contraindications of laser hair removal.

DO I NEED TO AVOID SUNLIGHT DURING A COURSE OF LASER HAIR REMOVAL?

It is better to complete the course 3–5 days before active exposure to the sunlight (on the beach etc.) In case of high photosensitivity and especially hair removal on face, please don’t forget about SPF products. If the sunlight is mild, feel free to walk in summer clothes immediately after the treatment.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I DO LASER HAIR REMOVAL?

It depends. Usually, one visit in 4–5 weeks is enough.

WHAT IS THE LOWER AGE LIMIT FOR LASER HAIR REMOVAL?
